The Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA): Robert McNamara/EADB
Graduate Scholarship in Development Studies
What: This program offers three scholarships each year to citizens of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda who wish to pursue studies leading to a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Development Studies in a recognized institution of higher learning in East Africa. The scholarship was established in 2003 by the East African Development Bank in honor of Mr. Robert McNamara, former World Bank President and member of EADB’s Panel of Advisors, for his role and efforts in promoting social and economic development.
Who: Citizens of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda
When: There are no application deadlines

African Network of Scientific and Technological Institution (ANSTI): Conference Grants.
What: Grants to attend international meetings to present papers. A maximum amount of $2,500 is awarded.
Who: Academic staff of ANSTI member institutions.
When: Applications can be submitted anytime.
